Donna L. Hill, DVM, MAM, Diplomate ACPV

President, Donna Hill Consulting

Dr. Hill received a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (1986) from Louisiana State University. After that she completed the Master of Avian Medicine (1988) at the University of Georgia. She is also board-certified by the American College of Poultry Veterinarians (ACPV).

Dr. Hill serves as a Technical Hatchery Consultant for her company Donna Hill Consulting. Since 1998 she has been retained as a Hatchery Consultant for Intervet, HatchTech Incubation Technology, and CEVA. Prior to that she was the Director of Health Services and Regional Veterinary Services Manager at Perdue Farms (1990-1998). She also was Director of Poultry Health and Quality Control for Peterson Farms (1988-1990).

In 2005 her company, HatchTech USA, provided the incubation equipment for a new hatchery built by Fieldale Farms. This hatchery was a green field fully automated hatchery. Her company installed the equipment and participated in the startup of the hatchery.

Dr. Hill has published papers and made presentations (more than 140) at both international and USA industry meetings. The subject matter was usually her primary areas of interest; Incubation of High Yield Breeds, Single Stage Incubation, Hatchery Management, Chick Quality, and the Impact on Incubation on Field Performance.

Dr. Hill currently resides in Mountain Home, Arkansas, where she enjoys water sports and hiking with her husband.

 
 

MARSHALL PUTNAM, DVM, MSC

Sr. Director of Technical Services

Dr. Putnam grew up in Alabama and received his doctor of veterinary medicine at Auburn University. Putnam has been in the poultry industry since 1989. His career began in private practice and in addition was on the faculty at Oklahoma State University. Then he was an Agricultural Biologist for Perdue Farms and Wayne Farms. Dr. Putnam is now the Sr. Director of Technical Services at Ceva Animal Health.

 

Matilde Alfonso, DVM, PhD

Veterinary Service Manager

Dr. Matilde Alfonso obtained her Degree in Veterinary Medicine and her PhD from Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain) where she later started her career in Poultry and Animal Health.  

Dr. Alfonso decided to pursue further education in Poultry Medicine and completed the Master of Specialized Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University.  After becoming a Diplomat of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians (ACPV), she worked for Schering Plough as a Technical Service Manager where she supported poultry integrators in the US and Latin America. Her career continued at Tyson Foods as International Senior Veterinarian, and later as Director for Breeder and Hatchery Operations. She currently works for Ceva Animal Health as Technical Services Manager providing veterinary support to the US poultry industry.
